A recent article Medical News Today once again hi-lights the fact that so many medical practitioners and nutritionists know…that there is a definite link between Acne and Diet…especially high glycemic (think processed carbohydrate food and junk food) and dairy intake….
I always emphasize this to my clients with acne – because everything we put into our body will impact the acne way more than what we put on the skin.
The pharmaceutical industry goes to great lengths to debunk any Acne/Food theories because big pharma cannot make money out of people simply changing their diets. And all the junk food corporations definitely don’t want anyone think that they are directly linked to acne (like the tobacco industry postulated that smoking was not linked to cancer).
But the name of the game with acne is not about expensive pharmaceutical company products and cheap junk food….it is about eating a healthy diet of 5 fresh and organic fruit and vegetable servings every day, increasing Omega 3 intake, eliminating dairy and red meat…..
